Day 1: Arrival in Mexico City
The guide greets visitors on arrival and accompanies them to the hotel. We recommend heading to Plaza Garibaldi in the evening to listen to the Mariachi bands! Have a drink and enjoy some “Mexican botanas” at Tenampa cantina – dinner is included on this first evening.
Day 2: Mexico City
Enjoy a full-day tour of Mexico City with an English speaking guide and gain an appreciation of the history of this fascinating city. Visit the cathedral in the main square to admire the ornate decorations before heading to the palacio nacional – home of the President. Take time here to admire Diego Rivera’s murals depicting Mexico City. In the afternoon, learn all abou the story and mythology of Mexico in the National Anthropology Museum before enjoying panoramic views of Paseo de la Reforma.
Day 3: Mexico City

Day 4: Guadalupe Shrine, Teotihuacan -Puebla
Experience the Guadalupe Shrine and learn why this national shrine lures millions of pilgrims annually. Later, drive to one of the most important archeological sites in Mexico, Teotihuacan, to marvel at some of the most impressive pyramids in the world. See the Sun and Moon pyramids, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Avenue of the Dead, and learn all about the Aztecs. Enjoy lunch on site and drive to Puebla in the evening.
Day 5: Puebla -Oaxaca
In the morning, discover Puebla’s downtown , a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the majority of buildings are decorated with tiles and beautifully sculpted freestone. Also see its majestic cathedral in the main Square, the Rosario chapel, considered the eighth wonder of the art world. After exploring charming Puebla, drive to Oaxaca in the evening.
