Discova Appoints Two New Account Managers to Boost Growth in the UK

In line with Discova’s ambitious business development plans, we are happy to welcome two new Account Managers to solidify our presence in the UK market. As travel rebounds and our portfolio of partners in EMEA grows, Matt Bangma (Senior Account Manager – Touring) and Lee Speechly (Account Manager – Trade Sales) have been a welcome addition to make our team more robust and support our sales function in the UK.  

 

Matt Bangma, Discova's New Account Manager for UK

Matt Bangma has been involved in the travel and tourism industry for over 15 years, during which he has gained varied and valuable experience in the successful delivery of dream holidays. His early experience with group touring and leading of small group tours, inevitably led to other roles within the industry such as Operations Management, Sales Management, and Business Development, for the likes of Back-Roads Touring and Audley Travel. Most recently, Matt has been with APT, where he headed up their Tailor-Made Holidays department and helped them establish a presence in the tailor-made sector.  

Enthusiastic about joining Discova in this new role Matt says, I look forward to collaborating closely with our UK partners to better understand their needs, whilst strengthening existing partnerships and developing new relationships.  Im excited to leverage my extensive experience to deliver meaningful results and ensure all travellers are rewarded with a holiday that inspires and exceeds expectations. 

Lee Speechly, Discova's New Account Manager for UK

Lee Speechly brings extensive experience and a proven track record in the travel industry to his new role at Discova. Over the past five years, Lee has worked with On The Go Tours, initially as a Business Development Manager in South Africa and later in the UK, where he excelled in developing agent networks, delivering product training, and driving significant sales growth. Prior to his tenure at On The Go Tours, Lee demonstrated exceptional customer service and sales capabilities at Flight Centre Travel Group South Africa as a Travel Expert. 

 Lee is eager to contribute to Discova’s success, adding, “I am thrilled to join Discova as the UK Account Manager – Trade Sales. I look forward to building strong partnerships with our UK trade partners, understanding their unique needs, and helping to achieve their business goals. It’s an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic sector of the travel industry and to face new challenges and opportunities.”
