Discova Promotes Chad Anderson to EMEA Sales Director

Discova is delighted to announce the appointment of Chad Anderson as the company’s EMEA Sales Director, effective from 1 September 2025. 

Chad previously served as Discova’s EMEA Sales General Manager, where he achieved an excellent track record of leading our sales strategy in the UK and Europe, maintaining strong relationships with our partners, and managing a talented team of sales and account managers.   

Chad sees this new role as both an honour and a responsibility he deeply values. His immediate reaction was to reflect on the journey so far and to feel energised by the possibilities ahead.  

 He says, “I am lucky to be surrounded by a wonderful leadership team. I am supported by brilliant sales and account managers as well as an excellent account management support team, whom I can always rely on. My goal is to empower the team to exceed expectations, embrace new opportunities, and foster enduring partnerships that will drive Discova’s continued success in the region.”

Chad’s journey in the industry began 26 years ago, driven by a strong passion for travel and cultural experiences. He started his career as a travel consultant before moving into operations, product development, and then onto business development. Over the years, he has had the privilege of working across several source markets sending customers across the globe.  

“My passion for community engagement has led me to lead the sales function for Discova Educational Travel (DET) and support its growth. Since joining Discova eight years ago, I’ve taken on various roles, each offering new challenges and learning opportunities. These experiences have helped me develop a leadership style rooted in authenticity, curiosity, and a commitment to developing others. Being part of the Discova family has truly been transformative, and I’m proud to have contributed to our shared growth story,” adds Chad.

Chad views the rise of sustainable and responsible travel as a positive shift which is reshaping customer expectations, with travellers more mindful of their environmental footprint and seeking authentic, local experiences. He considers technology as another game-changer, from digital booking platforms and APIs to immersive virtual experiences.  

The growth of multi-generational and purpose-driven travel is opening new market segments and aligns perfectly with our brand values and vision; these trends challenge us to innovate and adapt, and match our brand mission and vision. While rapid change always comes with some uncertainty, I see it primarily as a catalyst for creativity and growth,” he informs.  

Heading into trade show season, Chad is looking forward to attending WYSTEC (Lisbon), ITB Asia (Singapore) and WTM (London) over the next couple of months. According to him, trade shows offer an ideal space to reconnect with longstanding partners and forge new relationships.   

“I’m most excited to share Discova’s latest product developments, especially our initiatives in sustainable travel and community engagement. I look forward to exchanging insights on emerging traveller preferences, innovative technology solutions, and collaborating on bespoke travel experiences. Above all, I value the opportunity to listen to understand our partners’ evolving needs and to co-create strategies that are mutually beneficial,” he says.

Chad’s vision for Discova is one of sustainable, people-centric growth. He sees us deepening our roots in existing markets while venturing into new source markets that align with our strengths. By investing in talent development, fostering innovation, and staying attuned to market trends, he believes we can set new benchmarks for service excellence.  

“My hope is that Discova continues to be recognised not only for its business achievements but also for its positive impact on communities, partners, and travellers alike,” Chad concludes.
