Discova Grows its Presence in Los Cabos with Office Opening

We’ve never been a particularly traditional company, but during the past two years (like most companies around the globe) we had to adapt our practices and work environment. In Los Cabos, Mexico, that meant that while we were still actively present and receiving and supporting our partners’ travellers, we didn’t have a fixed office space.

Flexibility and fostering a positive remote-working environment will remain Discova policy pillars, but we did have the need for a more solidified, physical representation for our partners in the Los Cabos area. That’s meant that for the last couple of months, we’ve had some busy bees setting up and organising a welcoming, new office in Los Cabos. From 1 April, the office will be ready and raring to go!

Why the Need for an Office?

 

Resurgence. A word we’re lucky enough to be using after what’s been a tumultuous time for the tourism industry. Despite the ups and downs, Mexico has for some time now been receiving international tourists, being one of the odd ones out with less stringent entry regulations. While traveller numbers certainly didn’t mimic pre-Covid figures, there was still business to be made and taken care of. 

Discova’s new agreement with the company has given us the opportunity to represent Discova with two tour desks in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.

Simply: with increased demand, we wanted to be more present, more available and provide even better service. Running an operational office in Los Cabos means that we can better support and manage existing accounts and have a base for future expansion here.

What Is the Business Value for Our Partners and Clients?


On the ground influence. We have already renewed and reopened contracts with former suppliers in the area, but we are now also gaining new ones.

An excursion to the stunningly-set Arch of Cabo San Lucas is one of many experiences travellers can look forward to in the area.

Being on the ground means “we can continue to build supplier confidence and trust in Discova” and thereby offer better products for our clients, Bogar emphasizes. In short, being fully present in Los Cabos means we gain leverage and more personal contact with suppliers and partners.

And What Can You Expect From Our Los Cabos Presence in the Future?

 
  • An expanded vehicle fleet – Currently, we have three vehicles that are fully owned by Discova here, and in the future we want to purchase more. This will mean that we can provide even better rates on transfers.
 
  • More recruitment – We have rehired former staff and hired new members, but are currently still looking to fill a few positions. As business continues to grow in Los Cabos, we will need to grow our capacity, too.   • Greater presence – We plan to open more concession desks and continue to hire experienced hosts to support and meet traveller needs.
